We went to an open house at 3rd degree glass on delmar and union (next to delmar chop suey).  They host it every3rd friday of the month. It’s free and open to the public and makes for a kick ass date 🙂

the bowl was overlayed in fabric and then covered in more glass. VERY neat!

They also will allow you to make your own paperweights and glass tiles… for a small fee $3o bucks. We’re going to do it next time we go.

This reminds me of the glass factory tour I got down in Venezuela years ago. It was really amazing to see it come together. Nice to see I can do something like that again without a cruise/airfare.
