my very 1st quilt 🙂
i used the backing as binding, by folding it over the edges of the quilt top and batting
ms. linda at hancock, suggested i add the solid strips in between my fat squares. i'm glad she suggested it 🙂
the backing was solid red.

Very cute. What else would you have used for your binding, bias tape? Interesting. How big is it?

It’s so cute. I still have a quilt that was made for me when i was only two years old. Still in excellent condition. I love that thing.

When I took my sewing classes the instructor had us cutting squares and sewing them together so we can practice sewing straight seams and when we were done we had the makings of a quilt, mine did NOT come out this nice! This is very pretty for your first one.
